AQEBASE / ENGINE EXPLAINED

AQE: from market evidence to controlled decisions.

AQEBASE's AQE Quant Engine is a multi-asset research and control architecture. It connects data provenance, point-in-time checks, model evidence, review, paper validation and independent risk gates. No single model's prediction automatically becomes an order.

TWO SYSTEMS, DISTINCT ROLES

What does AQE mean here?

01 / AQEBASE

AQE Quant Engine

AQEBASE's own research, evidence, strategy and control workflow. Instrument-level conclusions remain separate from account permissions and deterministic risk gates.

02 / APACHE SPARK

Adaptive Query Execution

Apache Spark SQL's open-source runtime query optimization. It can coalesce shuffle partitions, adapt joins and address skew using execution statistics.

03 / INTEGRATION

Optional batch-data layer

AQE's Spark adapter prepares large historical market, training and backtest inputs. Smaller local interactive queries use lighter tools by default. Spark does not predict prices, veto risk or place orders.

FROM DATA TO DECISION

The AQEBASE workflow

  1. 01

    Acquire and qualify

Record source, usage terms, instrument, timestamp and freshness. Training and backtest inputs need point-in-time availability constraints to avoid look-ahead bias.

  2. 02

    Independent research and evidence

Organize factors, research components and candidate models by instrument, with versioned findings and validation evidence. Models and language tools advise; none holds sole trading authority.

  3. 03

    Validate, check access and control

Research passes backtesting and paper simulation before separate account-access, limit, circuit-breaker and execution-state checks. An order request is not a fill; confirmations require reconciliation.

OPEN SOURCE PROVENANCE

Clear attribution, no implied endorsement.

Apache Spark SQL AQE is an open-source component of Apache Spark under the Apache License 2.0. Intel's big-data team and Baidu's infrastructure team contributed to early open-source adaptive-execution work. AQEBASE uses upstream Apache Spark as an optional batch-processing component; it is not a product jointly developed or endorsed by Intel or Baidu. The current adapter does not modify Spark's core optimizer, so integration is not a claim that AQEBASE upgraded Spark AQE itself.

Read the Apache Spark documentation, open-source license and Intel's historical technical article.

CURRENT CAPABILITY

Check the operational boundary

The Spark AQE adapter is an optional historical batch-data tool. Its presence does not establish that a production cluster is running or prove model returns or low-latency trading. It emits read-only research data and has no customer-account or order authority. Check each page's current data status, model status, account permissions and execution reports.
